so i decided to give this a try.

The only thing that got me really frustrated was the placing of the ad in the sidebar. For some strange reason, whenever i previewed the template, everything was overlapped. Owing it to my persistent nature, i tried doing and re-doing the template for more than an hour last night. To no avail, the preview kept on showing the overlapped images. FRUSTRATING.

so today, i tried again. even asked loki for help. but still the same thing.
but due to his persuasion, i decided to just save the template and view it.

GUESS WHAT.

like omg. when i saved it, the final outcome was totally different from the preview!!! it wasn't overlapping and everything was in place. *thank you!!*

wa lao eh.

so jan, ang pao, nic and i went fishing yesterday. PROUD TO SAY I CAUGHT ONE FISH. haha. okay, actually not really.

the story is. I CAST THE ROD. and happily went off to eat some chips. before i know it, i see ang pao running from one side of the pier all the way to the other side where my rod is. And he started fighting and reeling in the fish!! HAHA. so in actuality, he caught the fish.

BUT HEY.

it was my rod. and i cast it. just that i wasn't paying attention. because i was eating. HAHAHA.

yes, i noe, spastic.

BUT HEY. it was like freaking early, and we had to walk SO FAR to get to our destination. so u really can't blame us.

we walked past this sign and jan got all crappy "lets go to the cafe to drink SEA water!"

and then, we walked out and realized from that "cafe" u could see the sea.. and jan went "OHHHHHHH, so thats why its called see water"

ang pao expertly tying the fish with a string, so we can put it back into the water without releasing it. So as to ensure tt we'd have fresh fish for dinner!

here we see nic's retard-ness and boredom while we were under the HOT HOT sun and without any fish. seriously la.

bukit panjang pri

I'm back from bukit pangjang pri sch camp at bottle tree park.

omg omg. i'm so glad to be back... who wld haf thought a 2day1nite camp cld be so freaking tiring!!

camp fire prep was a disaster! dave and i, were blank for the first 45 mins, only towards the last 15mins we came up with sth. LOL.

BUT!!

somehow, our grps (5 and 6) managed to pull it off. Not fantastic, but their energy level damn high, and made up for the total lack of preparation.

pri sch kids can be really adorable.

BUT.

i muz say, at times, i got pretty infuriated.

firstly, i tink, this camp, i was really really fierce. LIKE> OMG. instructor joy, since when u become so fierce sia. I had to shout often, coz, apparently talking nicely didn't get me anywhere.. :( BOOOO. i scolded them abt their flashlights, littering, not forgetting how many times i had to unpack and repack all the bento boxes, coz the kids SIMPLY WERE NOT LISTENING TO MY INSTRUCTIONS!!! oh dun forget, talking while someone else was talking, playing, etc etc. the list goes on. LOL.

well, no complaints abt shouting and scolding, coz knowing pri sch kids, sometimes such scoldings are neccessary.

BUT.

the thing that really drived me crazy was I BECAME LIKE A PARROT.!!

haiyo.. made me soooo tired. well.. aside from all that. they were a pretty gd bunch of kids. :)

on the way back in the bus to their sch. was juz chatting with them abt random stuff. ie frogs leg porridge, laffing at their lameness, singing bdae song with them (for me apparently.LOL).

somehow, even tho' i'm damn shack. i kinda missed them once we parted!

hahha. oh yes, another thing that i realized during the camp.

I CANT STAND PEOPLE WHO HAF NO INITIATIVE.!

i had the gals in my grp form two circles and do their human entanglement. and all they did was stare blankly at each other... sighh...

I GOT SOMETHING TO CONFESS.

it was at times like that, that..

I MISSED MY DUNMANIAN BOYS AND GIRLS SO MUCH!!!

really really.. whenever i asked for help, i would definitely haf someone who wld immediately offer assistance. when presented with a game, they wld be able to tink it thru' and work it out as a team.

IMBA. i noe u guys miss lvl camp. honestly, ur instructor here, misses u all so much tooooo!!

i miss ur initiative!
i miss ur team spirit!
i miss ur lame-ness!
i miss ur sweet smiles!

i'm thankful to haf been able to lead 20 fantastic and awesome teenagers.

so my last post was in april.

its 7pm already. too bad i missed gg to escape today. haven been there since i was 12! was looking forward to going with cell today. but unfortunately, really too tired liao.

st john's is really v tiring. SLOPE IS THE KILLER. and yea, i absolutely love the non-existent facilities there. hahaha. not much sleep during the camp. and sentry duty. damn funny la. on the last nite, apparently, i din wake up for sentry duty. my duty was at 4. and i tink i fell asleep at 345. next thing i noe, i hear gals talking arnd me. and shelly and i were still sleeping. lol.

campfire was superb, and all grps did a great job entertaining us. my entertainment lvl that nite was an ultimate high. Really proud of the dance my grp came up with. and glad that everyone got involved. wadeva ill feelings there were during the camp prep, lets put it behind us yea? :)
