Fall

Below is a pic i took at my bustop.. similar huh! :P i have another better pohoto, but the cam lost battery, just as i was taking it. Ohwells..

So i'm gg through a season of fall now.. Its like 7degrees outside. FREEZING. i can see my breath as i breathe. (I canjust imagine JAnice doing the laffinf exercise with me in the cold. And we will be staring at our breath and lafifng at each other. LOL LOL :P)

Fall is a really pretty season :) A season for scarfs! I like that! :) :)

Tangyuan!

i've been having the ultra high craving for tangyuan! so i went ahead and bought the glutinous rice flour, brown sugar, and ginger for 'Teng's' - the chinese market near my place. Instead of waiting for mommy to tell me the secret recipe, i went ahead and anyhow agar-agar. turned out pretty good!!! of course no fillings, i just made simple ones. To me the texture of the tangyuan was superb. SO springy and bouncy! the soup was a little sweet tho (obviously, since i just dumped the brown sugar in randomly. LOL ) but the ginger taste power man!!! :D

9th otober'09

This is a middle school near my hse, i came home that day early, and they were having their break!! its refreshing to see little kids, since my hse is always SOOOO quiet. made me miss rapphy! hahaha :D

i made meatballs and turned instant noodles into healthy noodles by using tomyam soup base that mommy packed for me!! :D

yeaa. . I feel like maybe i need some joy time?

Some time to sort out things. I don't want my life to only be about studies, living from test to test and midterm to midterm.

I'm thankful for God's faithfulness till now, i must admit, its been hard to be consistent in spending time with God.

I pray that even as i'm here, that i won't lose focus.

That i won't lose focus on God, on the eternal, and to remember that my life on earth is not all that there is to life. I want to live holding God's promises in my heart.

Yes, school is important, and i'm doing my best to stay on top of things. But, I don't want to forget God is the process, which happens so easily. If i don't make the conscious effort to remember God in my thoughts, He gets forgotten so easily amidst all the hustle and bustle of life.

Unfortunately, i'm not superwoman. I'm imperfect, highly lacking in time-management skills and priority management.

I must say that these are all life lessons though. To learn how to manage my life. How to prioritize.

THank you for praying for me, whoever you are :D
I know that His faithfulness and Love will carry me through.

cold, rainy, and depressing

I know this pic has no elevance whatsoever.. but, i typed in, cold&rainy into the search engine, and it come up woith this.. hahaha. it doesnt look rainy to me, but i love the snow leopard in the picture..

He's depicting wad i'm feeling.. DEPRESSED. yes, and the rain and the cold are not making it better. haiii.. got my first test result back, and... I DID BAD.. it isnt much of a consolation, that the class avg was 62%, and i'm below the avg. SIgh. wad a depressing day.. oh wells, i will snap out of this depressed mood by tmr, and make sure to study hard all the way.

Right now, i guess i will attack my essay. really worried :( I've decided to attack my prof in his office tmr. HAHA. no la, just want to ask him abt my essay.

mooncake festival! (2nd October'09)

I couldn't resist the thought of NOT celebrating mooncake festival. So about a mth ago, Eden, Nichola and I started planning for it!! Cam and Joon and I bought all the materials : LANTERNS! candles!

butbut.. we couldn't find sparklers.. apparently the woman said its illegal, but i tink she thought we were sayign fire crackers... cam din noe the canto word for "sparklers" lol.

we got everything from china town tho.. and amazing that we found such pretty lanterns, all in one packet.. and the mooncakes, we got it cheaper from this bakery. THE MOONCAKES HERE ARE SO OVERPRICED MAN. seriously.. like if u convert, its $50 sing for a box -.-.-.-.-.- but we got it cheap ! at bakery! yummmmm...

oh ya, eden donated two too. she doesn't like yolks -.- no taste in life la this woman

dinner first of course... nichola and i went to save on foods to get all the ingredients! grocery shopping heaven... NICHOLA U AGREE RITE?!!?

and so, we begin the ceremony, with a speech!

lol, paradoxically, it was really korean thanksgiving day man! woohoo... and you can tell how NICE we are to each other rite. hahahahaha!!!!!! esp me, at the ending..wa lao. attitude sia. LOL

oh and by the way, i was the one who ended up cutting the mooncakes into quarters. NOW, WHOS THE PRO. lol

Yes, i bought some weird taiwanese snack. i thought it would be like muah chee, sweetkind, but turns out, it was like red gluttinous rice, that had salty powder on it. SUPER WEIRD. hahah. but actually not bad la! afterall, its food rite ! ! !

We sit in for the "concert" , honestly it was more like old ppl having the stage to sing karaoke. LOL. but it was cute! except for one woman, super dressed up, and the stage was full of girls in cheongsams holding fans -.- ewwwwwwwwww

well, i wasnt too nervous for it, since i know i studied, i just did my best ... :)

wonder when the results will be out??

Anyway, we're in for a long weekend, since nx mon is thanksgiving.. all the americans are going crazy with exhilaration....

on a sidenote, i still feel like i'm settling in, not completely settled in yet... but then, i realize, that its only been 7 weeks.. so, i'm still pretty much on schedule.

I miss everyone back home tho, and as much as i'm moving on here and getting busier, i miss home, miss my family, miss 6.3, miss cornerstone.

I noe that this is inevitable, so i'm doing my best to cope and remember why i'm here. :)

Just wanted to let everyone know that you're in my prayers. I'm so glad that you guys are doing well... I apologize that this blog hasn't been the most updated. I will try my best to keep everyone informed of how i'm doing, and that i'm not dead yet.

omurice failure

so i actually wanted to make omurice... but, in the end the ingredients were too much, i just kinda made fried rice, it tasted pretty good tho, coz i marinated the chicken for 5 days!! actually i just left it in the fridge coz i din cook it.. haha! it was marinated with soya sauce, garlic, and sugar. REALLY YUMMY MAN..

yea,weirdly enough, the egg was fdrozen. LOL man. see, the one nearer the bottom was frozen, the other was not..
